What worked for me today 24th Feb 2010

I have spent a lot of money today. Not on shoes or handbags. Ha if only! No instead I have bought something that I really need and I am sure that it will work for me.

I know you are desperate to find out what my hard earned money has gone on. But before I do this, let me tell you a short story.

Last year I went on holiday to Croatia. Our apartment was based just outside Split (great place by way and it worked well for a short break). Where we parked our car was a little wooded area and I just happened to look over the dividing wall only to see the largest dog I had ever met tied to a tree. Now I understand that the Croatians tie their dogs to trees to stop them getting knocked down. But I do not understand why they then forget to feed them or give them fresh water.

So to cut a rather long story short, I bought the dog off the Croatians and brought her home to the UK with the help of the team at the Lavica Apartments and Croatian Airlines (their cargo deparment works really well).

Norah is now in her final month of quarantine and she loves it! We called her Norah after my grandma and because the kennels girls were struggling to remember her Croatian name Ara. And she is wonderfully happy, healthy and very, very bouncy. We believe that she is a Sarplaninac or Macedonian Shepherd Dog and has many of the charateristics of a German Shepherd. The breed is the only one that will take on bears and wolves and win!

She comes home a month today so I think that you can guess what I bought today. A new kennel (or cabin)!

I brought it from http://www.simply-summerhouses.co.uk/ and it works for me because it was just £169 for a large, full insulated cabin. Norah is going to love it.
